Seasonal Eats and Snacks at Disneyland for Kids
Disneyland offers over-the-top treats and eats during seasonal events. These items are sometimes only featured once. When the seasonal event ends, the limited-edition item is usually removed from the menu, so get it while you can!

Seasonal events include Oogie Boogie Bash, Disneyland After Dark, Lunar New Year, Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and Festival of the Holidays.
Paradise Garden Grill changes up their menu frequently to seasonal events, with dining highlights featured during Halloween Time.

Look for seasonal layer cake slices on the menu at the Plaza Inn, including during several Pixar Fest events.

Specialty churros that fit the event theme are offered at various locations. Check out the special event food guide to find out which churros are offered and where.

Holiday-themed cupcakes and desserts abound, with items on menus just after Halloween and lasting shortly after New Year. The gingerbread treats are especially good choices!

Bluey-themed Snacks - Troubadour Tavern
Troubadour Tavern is located next to the open-air Fantasyland Theatre, which rotates shows and events throughout the year. It is currently featuring "Bluey's Best Day Ever!", a popular live show featuring the Heeler family.

Themed snacks include the Lime Ice Block Drink, Poffertjes! Poffertjes!, and my favorite, the Pavlova Parfait.

Where Can Kids Eat at Disneyland if They Have Food Allergies?
Does your child have an allergy to egg, gluten/wheat, fish, nut, sesame, soy, or milk? Many of the restaurant and quick service locations have allergy friendly menus. Some can even be ordered via the Disneyland app mobile ordering service.

If you have deep concerns about food safety, request to speak with the manager. Disneyland is well-versed in this topic. They can go above and beyond to make sure meals are safe for your family.

Can You Use Mobile Ordering for Disneyland Snacks?
Many quick service locations offer mobile ordering. This can be highly convenient and also save lots of time waiting in line to pick up food. View the available locations and use the mobile ordering feature through the Disneyland app.
Outdoor carts do not offer mobile ordering and can often have lengthy lines. This is especially true during special events, when a seasonal offering is featured. Be prepared for a wait.

What Snacks to Pack for Kids at Disneyland?
Yes, you can absolutely pack in your own snacks for kids when going to Disney parks. In fact, I highly recommend that you do bring in some of your own foods, even if you plan to purchase snacks in the theme parks too. Packing your own snacks is one of the top ways to save money on food at Disneyland.

Packing snacks is not only money-wise, but it's convenient to have on hand when hunger strikes. Consider bringing your own fruit, applesauce pouches, crackers, trail mix, and bottled water. Choose whatever your child likes to snack on and that doesn't require refrigeration.

Take-Home Treats for Kids
There are loads of different Disneyland snacks for kids that families can purchase and take home to enjoy. Look for prepackaged items in the souvenir shops, including sour ball candies, oversized lollipops, saltwater taffy, and candied popcorn.

Gaze into the windows at the candy kitchens for more take home snacks, including fudge, toffee, and candy canes (during the holidays). Themed rice crispy treats and cake pops designed to look like the characters are especially appealing to kids!

Which Disneyland Snacks for Kids Should You Avoid?
Skip the overly messy Disneyland snacks
Certain Disneyland snacks might be geared towards kids, but they make a terrible mess when indulging! Consider packing disposable bibs for toddlers to keep their outfits clean.

For instance, this adorable Bluey themed Magic "Asparagus" Pretzel rod was tasty and cute. But the green colored chocolate quickly melted in our hands and stained our teeth! We always always pack Handzies wipes for quick clean up of hands and faces when traveling.

Skip the Disneyland snacks with lots of food coloring
Allergies aside, items with too much food coloring can be problematic in other ways (to put this delicately). Heavy food coloring can cause digestive issues, along with staining the lips and tongue.

Be wary of indulging in Disneyland festival foods
Many of the items in the festival food marketplaces (like during Disney California Food & Wine Festival) are novelty priced. This means small bites of creative dishes, at a higher than normal price you might find elsewhere.
A lot of festival snacks are also geared towards Disney adults. However, some items are standouts for kids, like the Mickey macaron. Other items are just ordinary, and can likely be skipped.

Skip the ordinary snacks you can find anywhere
Some snacks you can't get anywhere other than Disney parks. Other snacks are readily available at the grocery store, county fair, or snack bar.
That said, my daughter requested cotton candy on our last visit. Namely, because cotton candy isn't something I ever buy, so for her it was special.

But if there's something your kid can get on a regular basis, skip it. Seek out the Disneyland exclusives during your vacation instead.
