Wooden bookmarks are a great gift, allowing recipients to hold a place in their favorite book with a homemade craft that lasts.

This free printable PDF includes 9 different designs, in a variety of color versions. There are multiple designs in different colors that are appropriate for many ages and for children to give as a class Valentine.

Have kids choose their favorite card, then print up one of the designs or a mix of all nine. I’ve left space on the design for signing a name at the bottom of the bookmark card.

Tips for Making Printable Valentine Bookmark Cards

Use Sturdy Cardstock

Don’t use regular paper for these cards. White cardstock paper will hold up best, while ordinary printer paper will be too lightweight .

Include Personalization

Add the gift giver’s name to each printed Valentine card. Before you add the wooden bookmark to the card, have your kid write their name at the bottom of each Valentine card.

Personalize each Valentine card or bookmark. Consider personalizing the backside of each wooden bookmark with student names. Or just have your child write the student’s name on the Valentine card.

Secure the Bookmark to the Card.

Use double sided tape or a sticky dot on the back of each Valentine’s Day card to attach the wooden bookmark. This will prevent the bookmark from sliding loose from the card.
